Basic Group Class Training Class Series
Train for reliability in public with a group training series! We have a program for any dog of any age!
If you are a first time WW&Co. participant, you will receive an initial evaluation before starting your program to determine your dog's temperament and distraction readiness.

Curious Pupper AKC STAR Puppy
This group class series, designed from the components of the STAR Puppy Test, aims to help our puppies get a positive social experience in a safe environment. It’s a great way to help strengthen pups’ bonds with their pet parents. Appropriate for dogs 2.5 to 6 months of age.

Curious Woofer All Around Basic Obedience
This package is made for our older pups and adult dogs needing help with the most common behavior issues pet parents encounter. Start with a 45 minute 1-on-1 prep session, then move to a group series of 5 60-minute weekly classes for social support. Online training videos of the week will be provided. Appropriate for dogs 6 months and older.

Curious Pupper AKC STAR Puppy Series Topics
Session One
Engage in a pet parent’s round table discussion on experiences and care of puppies. Get an introduction to clicker training and precision marking of behavior.
Session Two
Understand what proper socialization looks like and get practice with various forms of desensitization.
Session Three
Work on focus and improving recall (the come command).
Session Four
Develop and proof your puppy’s cues for touch target, sit, down, stand.
Session Five
Teach the all important cues that encourage your puppy’s proper use of their mouth. Cues include take it, drop it, leave it (the fun way).
Session Six
Learn all about leash walking basics to make your walks safe and enjoyable.
Session Seven
Continue practicing leash walking here, and review cue basics with leave it. We’ll be performing a test run for AKC STAR testing.
Session Eight
We will use this day to complete AKC STAR Testing. This will also be “Game Day” for the pups and their parents.

This session works you through the ergonimics of loose leash walking and applies those skills to carefully set up walking runs.

This session goes over the prevention and management of biting and mouth-related destruction. Learn how to develop solid leave its and drop its for everyone's safety.
All Four On The Floor - A Jumping & Settling Clinic
This session teaches you how to build a "settle" using crates and platforms while offering tips on how to handle jumps of any types in progress.
Come and Squash the Great Escape
This session discusses why your dog may choose to run and provides exercises and games to gradually build your dog's responsiveness to your calls in various situations.
That’s So Yesterday - A Desensitization Class
This session gives additional practice with working on basic commands in more complex settings.

Step Up Obedience Intermediate Series (6 classes)
This class is a natural next step in advancing your dog’s training. Practice skills learned in our basic level courses against real-life scenarios and distractions. Completion of a basic training group course is required to participate.

Canine Good Citizen Boot Camp Series (4 classes)
For pet parents looking into canine public service, this series gives you the start you need. This program consists of 3 prep classes plus a 4th session to perform the 10-item test designed by the AKC. Upon successful completion, you can apply for an official AKC CGC certificate for proof of testing. Interested parties will receive an evaluation before enrollment. Basic CGC, Urban CGC and Community Canine CGC available based on demand.

AKC Fit Dog Club (6 classes)
Any healthy dog looking to burn off extra calories and/or energy can attend this six-week course. Each session will start with a mental warm-up, transition into a 20-minute block of physical activities, then slide into trainer-approved stretches for a cooldown. Completion of a training course with us is strongly recommended. Every participant who completes the program will receive an AKC certificate at the conclusion of the series. As a bonus, participants will be given a free ticket for one group walk and train session for completing the class.

AKC Trick Dog Class Series 1,2 or 3 (6 classes)
Anyone wanting to take their handler-dog relationship to the next level in style must consider taking this course. This program is actually divided into five levels of difficulty. However, levels 1-3 are suitable for group training and performances. Completion of a basic training plan is strongly recommended. Each dog will receive a certificate upon successful completion of an AKC-designed exit test. Available based on demand.

We now offer workshops to enhance your training beyond the training area. Your instructor will lead discussions and provide demonstrations specific to the theme of the workshop. For certain classes, you may practice on site with your dog what we teach. (Email us ahead of time at info@wholisticwoofers.com if you wish to bring your pet to a workshop.)

Low-Stress Handling For Exams & Grooms (Desensitization Workshop)
Learn how to boost your pet's calm and confidence during stressful procedures with this 2-day workshop. Get the breakdown on desensitizing your pet to sensations experienced during appointments. Pet-human teams afterwards can practice on-site what they learn, while those choosing to come minus pet can watch. Each workshop day lasts 2 hours.
